Weekly Performance Activism Labs

Every Monday night from 7pm-10pm, we host a weekly lab for interdisciplinary performance practice in an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, consent-forward, trauma-informed, and affirming environment. Until now, Monday nights have only been available to our ensemble - but we want YOU to join us. Artists of all disciplines and levels of experience more than welcome.

Together, we'll explore expansive possibilities for performance practices that celebrate connection through creativity, imagination, empathy, mindfulness, expression, community building, and social change.

These educational initiatives are offered as pay-what-you-wish, and all donations go directly toward our practice spaces and teaching artists. Preregistration is not currently required though it is encouraged as space is limited.

Please note our studio is located up two flights of stairs.

TSP Intensive Workshops

The Seeing Place hosts four-week intensive workshops on Sundays from 3pm-6pm on a range of approaches to live performance for artists and educators. Our next workshop series will begin October 16th, 2023 and focus on one of the below topics:

  • Devised Performance Making

  • Examining Poetic Text

  • Theatre for Social Change

  • Theatre of the Oppressed

  • Educational Theatre

Each intensive series will be offered for $200 with scholarship opportunities available by application. Class sizes are kept low to ensure individualized attention at every session, and all funds go directly toward our practice spaces and teaching artists.

If you are interested in further information about our intensive workshops, please sign up for announcements below, and we’ll let you know as soon as the workshops are made available to the public.
